Our latest quarterly insights are now available and here is a snapshot of what has been happening in the North East in Q3.

Newcastle City Centre trends for this quarter:

🏢 Letting demand remains strong: Average deal size up from 3,802 sq ft to 6,119 sq ft
🍃 Sustainability continues to lead the way: 73,865 sq ft of deals were for EPC A or B space, representing 86% of all take-up.
⭐ Grade A and fully fitted space is driving the market: 64,350 sq ft let, which equates to 76% of total take-up.
⬇️ Grade A supply decreasing with 103,000 sq ft remaining across 3 buildings until new schemes are delivered.

Elsewhere:

Sunderland on the rise!: Uptake jumped to 27,267 sq ft in Q3 (up from 8,696 sq ft in Q2), boosted by Just Eat’s 18,645 sq ft commitment at Maker, part of Landid’s Maker & Faber scheme.

Out of Town (OOT) market remains challenging: The average deal size was 3,436 sq ft. However, city centre trends like the introduction of business lounges are starting to influence OOT offerings to better align with tenant expectations.
