Parker Knights were appointed joint agent on Portland House in 2022. The Landlord invested 7 figures refurbishing the entire building, creating one of the best office products in the city. Michael Downey at Parker Knights helped with initial design input right through to overseeing a number of lettings, which ranged from 1,500 to 10,000 sq ft.
The headline rent for the building increased throughout lettings from £22.00 to £25.00 psf.
New occupiers included a mix of law, wealth management, tech, recruitment and surveying firms.
Portland House presented more than traditional office space. There was a separate communal area offering occupiers access to free meeting rooms, conference area, hot desking and a high end barista station. Other building features including showers, lockers, bike storage and drying rooms. A number of sustainability credentials were highlighted to occupiers, which included a ‘B’ EPC rating.
